Wockhardt Hospital Mira Road celebrates International Nurses Day

Plans various online competitions, more than 100 nurses participate

On the occasion of International Nurses Day, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road planned various competitions for the through online mode. This year, the theme was Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health. More than 100 nurses participated in the activity.

Various online competitions were organised for the nurses that include drawing, solo dance and singing, and individual quiz competition. The winners were for (Song  1st prize went to Sona Biju, 2nd prize to Athira, 3rd prize to Bency and Lijimol Biju. The dance winners were: 1st prize to Anju Lalu, 2nd prize to Jyoti and Sonal,  3rd prize to Neethu. 

In the drawing competition, the 1st prize went to Shabana, 2nd prize to Priti Sawand and Princy and 3rd prize to Feby. In the quiz competition, the 1st prize went to Sabita, the 2nd Prize to Sherin and the 3rd prize to Ritu.

Chief of Nursing, Lissymol Saji, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road addressed “All the nurses from the hospital are working relentlessly for the benefit of the patients leaving all their problems behind. We thank the hospital for taking care of us and ensuring our safety. We are glad that the hospital organised activities for us to help us rejuvenate and become stress-free. We all are happy and thankful to the hospital on behalf of all the nurses. We look forward to working for the betterment of the society, and hope to keep serving the patients till our last breath. We have also pledged to stand strong and fight against coronavirus.”

Dr Pankaj Dhamija, Center head, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road, said, “I am glad that the whole team of nurses has shown their real zeal of responsibility and ownership and for their complete commitment and dedication in spite of the challenges faced during the lockdown.”
