Fuji Computed Radiography (FCR) is a digital imaging system that has been developed to deliver high quality images to obtain the best result. It not only produces X-ray images in digital format, with enhanced image quality, to improve diagnostic capability but also gives flexibility of adjusting images, thereby helping doctors concentrate on the affected area with greater accuracy. This, in turn, eliminates the time needed for additional processing to justify images.
FCR brings the power of technology to acquisition, processing, display and management of radiographic images. Digital X-ray images help the medical fraternity to store and share images through teleradiology as well. Digitisation saves a lot of physical storage space apart from offering the flexibility of searching images swiftly and easily, based on the file name. More and more customers are increasingly switching to computed radiography (CR) and reaping the benefits of digitisation.
FUJIFILM’s broad family of CR products are optimised to suit different applications in multiple imaging environments. Recently, the company has introduced PRIMA T2 to their FCR family.
PRIMA T2 is the newest offering from FUJIFILM. It offers high-quality images and has a unique space-saving design. Also, it uses the same cassettes and IP’s as other models of FUJI CR which means that there is no technology scale down to save costs.
The table-top reader unit boasts of a processing speed of 73 IPs/hour (depending on the cassette size) thereby offering high levels of productivity. As with all Fujifilm equipment, FCR PRIMA T2 is easy to operate as well. It helps reduce patient waiting time and greatly increases the efficiency of examination work-flow.
With its light and compact tabletop design, the FCR PRIMA T2 can be placed on a desk or any space with limited dimensions. As this is a fully digital reader, neither a darkroom nor automatic processor is required. It can be installed in the space formerly used by a chemistry-based processor.
The FCR PRIMA T2’s compact size does not interfere with its excellent image quality, which is the same as that produced by the rest of the FCR range. Image Intelligence, Fujifilm’s proprietary image processing technology enhances image contrast and sharpness, without any deterioration of details whilst supporting accurate diagnosis by offering stable and optimised image quality.
