Over the next two years, the platform aims to have over half a million users in India
Welcome Cure, a healthcare technology platform focused on alternate medicine, has launched physical e-clinics beginning December 2015. The company plans to open over 150 e-clinics across India over the next 18 months as a part of its expansion plans and to cater to the high non-internet savvy population of India. Over the next two years, the platform aims to have over half a million users in India.
Reportedly, Welcome Cure’s e-clinics will offer counselling to patients on homeopathy treatments, assist in creating case-histories of patients and connect patients to relevant doctors from the platform’s panel of experts. The e-clinics will also serve as a medium for patients to follow-up on their treatment and get any aid for being online and taking complete advantage of the revolutionary portal.
Speaking on the launch of the e-clinics Dr Jawahar Shah, Co-Founder and Chairman, Welcome Cure said, “Over the last one year, we have realised that while people want to opt for homeopathy treatments, not everyone has access or is comfortable with PCs or internet. The launch of our e-clinics is aimed at bridging this need gap that we have identified among our users, and offering holistic homeopathic treatments to a large section of the patients in India.”
Punit Desai, Co-Founder and CEO, Welcome Cure adds, “With the roll out of our e-clinics, we aim at ensuring usage of our portal to its maximum potential, not only in tier 1 markets but also in tier II, III and IV markets, where access to internet is still low. Over of past month, we have spoken to some like-minded partners in the space and already closed several partnerships to launch the e-clinics in other cities as a part of Welcome Cure’s overall strategy.”
