QAI sets objectives to create ecosystem of education, training, quality improvement, accreditation

Its Centre for Accreditation of Health and Social Care, an institutional member of International Society for Quality in Health Care is chaired by Prof (Dr) MC Misra, Former Director-AIIMS New Delhi

Quality and Accreditation Institute (QAI), an emerging accreditation body set up to create an ecosystem of education, training, quality improvement and accreditation. Its Centre for Accreditation of Health and Social Care (CAHSC), an institutional member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), is chaired by Prof (Dr) MC Misra, Former Director-AIIMS New Delhi.

QAI has set following objectives:

  • Accreditation / certification of health and social care facilities
  • Promoting a culture of quality and safety through information and communication
  • Delivering education and training programmes in accreditation, quality & safety
  • Capacity building of health and social care facilities in our core and related areas
  • Developing a pool of skilled human resources in healthcare quality and safety

It has already developed and rolled out following accreditation standards / programmes. Many of these are unique and developed for the first time in India.

QAI is India’s first and only Accreditation Body having two standards accredited by ISQua, a global benchmark in healthcare quality and standardisation.
