Currently manufacturing 10,000 face shields on a daily basis

Amidst the shortage of PPE equipment during the global pandemic, KARAM has started manufacturing medical face shields to offer protection to healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients. The company has been manufacturing around 10,000 face shields on a daily basis and is looking at ramping up the production in the days to come.

This is the company’s second initiative to provide support to the healthcare workers through safety products amid the ongoing situation. Earlier this month, they had partnered with the Government of India to manufacture protective goggles for doctors and the police workforce across the country. Till date, KARAM has manufactured around 4.5 lakhs goggles that have been distributed across the stakeholders.

Sandeep Arora, National Sales Head, KARAM Industries said, “We are currently facing an acute shortage of PPE equipment for healthcare workers who are risking their lives for the country. While several companies are trying to make these products, getting regulatory approvals continues to be a challenge. Being a PPE manufacturer, we use authentic materials for each of our PPE products, including goggles & face shields and ensure that the entire product range meets the global quality standard. As a purpose-driven organisation, we will continue to lend support in every way possible and help overcome this battle.”

Through these initiatives, KARAM Industries that manufactures all PPE from Head to Toe like safety helmets, face shields, safety shoes, full-body harnesses, other fall protection equipment and eyewear aims to expand its healthcare PPE product portfolio looking at the current scenario. Moreover, the company is also looking at further expanding its offering and providing the entire safety kits to fight the pandemic.

KARAM is ensuring the well-being of its employees at the manufacturing units by stringently following social distancing. Every employee is maintaining proximity of 1-2 metres from their fellow employee. Additionally, every worker is wearing safety equipment while working at all times and every corner of the unit and premise is sanitised on a daily basis.
