Six corporations come together to offer Rs 100 crores worth of products, services to those who sign up

The Health Minister JP Nadda flagged off the HealthifyIndia (#SwasthBharat) campaign earlier this week, and applauded the use of smartphone technology as an innovative answer to lifestyle diseases.

The campaign is now live, with the Health Minister one of the first to take the HealthifyIndia pledge,which makes him eligible for more than Rs. 1,000 worth of products and services from six industry partners to enable him (and anyone else who signs on) achieve that pledge.

These benefits offered by the six industry partners supporting the initiative include: Rs 300 worth of calorie tracking software from HealthifyMe, vouchers for healthy foods (worth Rs 300) by Godrej Nature’s Basket, vouchers for free health screenings and medical checkups by Manipal Hospitals, Apollo Centre for Obesity, Diabetes and Endocrinology (ACODE) and Medanta – The Medicity worth approx Rs 400 each and hundreds of articles on living a healthier fitter life by TheHealthSite.com.

This industry initiative signals an ambitious plan to move a million Indians to embrace a healthy lifestyle by year end and to scale that number up to a crore in next three years.
