Haryana govt to set up homeopathic college in Ambala

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar approves the proposal to bear additional expenditure beyond ₹ 10.50 crore from the state budget and staff recruitment for the college and hospital

The Haryana government has decided to set up a government homeopathic college and hospital at village Manglai in district Ambala under the national AYUSH mission, Health Minister Anil Vij said. He said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved a proposal in this regard. The chief minister has also approved the proposal to bear additional expenditure beyond 10.50 crore from the state budget and staff recruitment for the college and hospital as per Central Council of Homeopathic norms, Vij said in an official release.

The minister said here is a scheme under the AYUSH mission for financial assistance of Rs 10.50 crore (centre and state ratio) for setting up of new AYUSH educational institutions in the state where it is not available in the government sector. Under the scheme, the amount is to be shared by the Centre and state in the ratio of 60:40. The minister said that out of 10.50 crore, an amount of 9 crore lakh would be spent on the construction of Out Patient Department (OPD) and Inpatient Department (IPD), teaching departments, library, laboratories and girls and boys hostels.
