Reduces costs of Covid tests

Kolkata-based MEDICA Superspecialty Hospital has increased the numbers of beds for treatment of COVID-19 patients to 112. The hospital is also adding another 38 beds to treat suspected patients.

MEDICA has also reduced the cost of COVID testing further to Rs 2,250, PPE kits to Rs 1,000 and doctors’ consultation at 1,000 per day.

According to Alok Roy, Chairman, MEDICA Group of Hospitals, as equal stakeholders in the well-being of the society at large, we support the vision of Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee and already extending all possible support to the Government of West Bengal in all its endeavours to fight this pandemic.

Roy further adds, “We are happy to announce that we have had many patients with COVID-19/SARS CoV-2, who have been successfully treated on ECMO and have gone back to their usual life, healthy. We are also moving forward and starting plasma convalescent therapy for moderate to severe patients for an early and smooth recovery. This will help us to serve better.”
