UKTI Mumbai to organise panel discussion on healthcare opportunities in India and areas of collaborations

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Mumbai is organising a panel discussion on healthcare opportunities in India and areas of collaborations. The panel discussion will be held at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai on May 6, 2013.

The Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke, UK Cabinet Minister, will give the inaugural speech. The panelists will consist of industry leaders from five different segments of healthcare including project management, IT, content management, diagnostics, PPP and finance. They are Dr RV Karanjekar, Global Hospitals Mumbai; Dr BR Das, SRL; Dr Vivek Desai, Hosmac; Ashish Bansal, KPMG; Bishwajit Nayak, Head of Health Claims and Networking, Future Generali; Ankur Pegu, Director, Swasth India Services.

Viveka Roychowdhury, Editor, Express Healthcare and Express Pharma, The Express Group, will be moderating the panel discussion.

The panel discussion will also give an opportunity to meet and interact with the members of the UK healthcare delegation who will be in the city to improve UK trade links in the healthcare sector in Western and Southern India through engaging with state governments and private sector on commercial basis.

The UK delegation will consist of healthcare companies which have business in the area of primary healthcare, healthcare equipment and devices, healthcare IT solution providers, healthcare service providers (ambulance services, hospital designers etc), medical education organisations (Universities, Royal Colleges) and Government departments (Healthcare UK, Department of Health, NHS and other stake holders) and industry associations (ABHI, etc).

Delegates from hospital purchase department, engineering, design, clinical management, human resource and training departments will be invited to attend this interaction and stand to benefit from this interaction.
