Telerad Tech, the managed service provider for Cisco’s HealthPresence telemedicine platform in India, has deployed another telemedicine centre, with its first site established in Rajasthan. The centre went live recently at Bhawangarh- a rural village in Kota, Rajasthan.
According to Dr Sunita Maheshwari, a Paediatric Cardiologist of Teleradiology Solutions this integrated telemedicine teleradiology platform is transforming the way one can deliver healthcare. According to her, the use of technology is helping remote areas of India access healthcare, high tech but accessible.
Motilal, Secretary of Sankalp Sanstha said that the telemedicine project will impact a population of around 10,000 villagers. These villagers will now get specialist consultations from ENT and Eye specialists, surgeons, senior physicians, gynaecologists and pediatricians.
Cisco Healthpresence is an advanced visual collaboration solutions available in the market. Apart from the digital stethoscope and other devices that allows patient data to be transferred, this telemedicine platform is also integrated with teleradiology. Telerad Tech’s radiology workflow intelligence system RADSpa is integrated with Cisco’s Health Presence. This integration allows a doctor to not just examine a patient but also view his diagnostic scans. All this is possible without confining a doctor to the telemedicine room. Using this technology a doctor can be anywhere, anytime while examining a patient.
