Sakra World Hospital, a joint venture of the Kirloskar Group, Toyota Tsusho Corporation and SECOM of Japan announced the launch of ‘Osteoporosis Clinic’ with sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday under the leadership of Prof Dr CV Harinarayan, Director – Diabetes & Endocrinology.
Dr Raajiv Singhal, Group CEO, Sakra World Hospital, said, “Osteoporosis as a disease was neglected by society at large. Unfortunately, women have been the worst sufferers. It is very painful to see women with aches and pains which restrict their day-to-day activities which could have been easily prevented. This is our small attempt to focus on wellbeing of women.”
Dr Harinarayan said, “We are extremely delighted to bring special osteoporosis care to patients. These OPD sessions will be instrumental in creating awareness amongst the people about this ‘silent killer’ and timely check-ups and diagnosis will certainly help in improving their bone health and quality of life.”
