Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was celebrated for the paediatric cancer patients at Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute campus, Thakurpukur in Kolkata.
The five feet chariot was made in the campus itself and the children decorated and pulled it in their ward and within the campus. Paramanno and Rajbhog were prepared for these children on Rath Yatra.
This was a special endeavour to bring back smiles on the faces of the sick children. At present 42 children are admitted in the wards, many of whom are suffering from leukaemia.
