Hinduja Hospital began operations of it yet another speciality clinic – LIPID Clinic. The new clinic aims at providing lipid management by personalised attention of the team that consists of a lipid specialist consultant and a dietician. Dr Preeti Chhabria, Consultant Internal Medicine, Hinduja Hospital will head the LIPID Clinic.
The clinic has adopted a holistic approach to provide services to patients who already have high lipids, or have a tendency to have high lipid levels. The clinic which is aimed at prevention of heart disease, will help people keep a check/control and treat their cholesterol and triglycerides.
The format of the clinic is such that the patient does not have to spend time in the hospital for tests as most of the tests are done by collecting lab samples from home, via the Care@Home services of the hospital. Patients can call for home sample collection three days prior to the LIPID clinic appointment and the rest will be taken care off.
