The COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown have led to a huge blow to millions of vulnerable small businesses in the country. In a bid to reduce that impact, Hula Global has introduced its channel distribution programme. As part of this programme, Hula Global is expanding its distribution network to 74 locations in cities of India to amplify the sales of its PPE garments and equipment. It aims to empower small and medium business owners across Tier I, II and III cities, by providing an additional stream of revenues.

Branded protective equipment against COVID-19, like coveralls, surgical gowns, N95 masks, etc. which were initially accessible to only a handful of large government enterprises will now be available with the general public. Through the distribution network, Hula Global will be selling more than two lakh equipment from Tier I cities, more than a lakh from Tier II cities, nearly 50000 from Tier III cities and more than 20000 kits from tier cities. Considering the present scenario, where the use of protective gear or masks has become the new normal, this move will benefit to a large number of corporates as well as the MSMEs.

As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India campaign followed by its war cry ‘Vocal for Local’, Hula Global has been focussing on manufacturing a broad range of PPE garments, including a variety of gloves, masks, etc. 100 per cent in India to cater to the needs of the domestic market. Presently, its monthly production capacity is 50 lakh pieces of N95 masks, 10 lakh pieces of face shields, 80 lakh pieces of surgical gowns.

Speaking on the new business initiative, Karan Bose, MD, Hula Global said, “Small and medium businesses across the country have been struggling to keep up with their costs and loss of revenue during these unprecedented times. With the recent relaxations in the lockdown, there has been a spike in the demand for PPE equipment and shields, not only from the front-line healthcare workers but also from other service sectors. Our distribution network includes exclusive distributors, non-inclusive distributors as well as resellers that can help them in facilitating the surplus flow of revenues, eventually driving them to revive their businesses. In the meantime, through this distribution network, Hula Global will be able to further intensify its sales and productions.”
