In India, Aster DM Healthcare now has hospital facilities in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Calicut and Kochi
Aster DM Healthcare recently inaugurated its flagship hospital Aster Medcity in Kochi. Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam inaugurated the facility in the presence of Oommen Chandy, Chief Minister of Kerala and host of dignitaries from across SAARC and Middle East.
Reportedly, over 1000 staff at the hospital pledged to donate their organs. Aster DM Healthcare, promoted by doctor-entrepreneur Dr Azad Moopen, is a large healthcare services provider in the country, with hospitals in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Calicut and Kochi.
The group also runs a nursing and medical college in Kerala. Spread across 40-acre waterfront campus in Kochi, Aster Medcity is a medical township. It claims to be one of the largest healthcare facilities in India and is the biggest project of Aster DM Healthcare till date.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Azad Moopen, Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare said, “We follow a simple philosophy of ’We’ll treat you well‘. This philosophy of patient care drives all that we do. We have the best of global experience, which we now bring to India. Aster Medcity is a project that sets new benchmark in medical care and technology to drive best medical outcomes.”
Reportedly, more than 3,000 people attended the launch event hosted within the Aster Medcity campus.
