Religare Health Insurance plans to launch its travel insurance policy and individual personal accident insurance policy in the current quarter, its MD and CEO, Anuj Gulati informed. “We have recently received approval for comprehensive travel insurance policy and plan to launch in this quarter,” Gulati said. “For retail customers, we have a very comprehensive individual personal accident insurance policy (called Secure) and which we also plan to launch in this quarter. We have also received approval for what we call as Super top-up policy (called Enhance), which is for customers who already have an existing policy of Rs 1-2 lakhs sum insured, and want to increase their total cover.”

Gulati said that with the launch of travel insurance, individual personal accident and super top-up, Religare Health Insurance was aiming to complete the base bouquet of products so that the company can offer the entire gamut of health insurance products to meet requirement of all types of customers. Religare currently offers a comprehensive health insurance product, critical illness cover (with personal accident benefit), group health insurance cover, and group personal accident insurance policy.

Among Religare Health Insurance’s other initiatives, the company has corporate wellness programmes through which it already services a large number of companies by adopting a four stage process – namely – awareness, early diagnosis, environment modification and rehabilitation. Religare Health has conducted a series of camps for various companies like lifestyle disease screening, eye disease screening, cancer screening, dental health, stress management and quit-smoking sessions besides sending regular tips and mails on good health maintenance.

Religare Health has also conducted awareness programmes on thyroid and dengue prevention and carried out vaccinations against influenza, typhoid, Hepatitis A & B, and cervical cancer at discounted rates.

Religare has so far tied up with 43 corporates including Jones Lang LaSalle, IREO Management, Avery Dennison, Alcatel Lucent and SCOPE International (Standard Chartered) to offer corporate wellness programmes. Religare Health also offering features like health check up reminders and timely medicine reminders. It also organises camps that offer home and office safety tips so that insured individuals take precautionary steps to prevent accidents and injuries. The benefits also extend to pharma stores, gyms, diagnostic centres, physiotherapy and dental clinics where the insured individual can avail of discounts.
